    PAUT Inspection Angola

Phased array ultrasonic testing steers and focuses multiple ultrasonic beams electronically, producing imaged, encoded and reviewable weld and corrosion data.

    Overview

PAUT replaces much of the radiography workload without radiation exclusion zones, night shifts or source logistics. Because the data is encoded, an indication found today can be compared with the same weld inspected next year — essential evidence for fitness-for-service and repair validation.

Openmar applies PAUT to new construction welds, repair welds, nozzle connections and corrosion mapping, delivering sectorial scans, defect sizing and acceptance assessment against the applicable code.

    Applications

    • Butt and fillet weld examination
    • Nozzle and branch connection welds
    • Corrosion mapping on plate and shell
    • Repair weld verification
    • Fabrication and yard QA/QC

    Methodology

    Our Process

    01

    Scan Design

Review weld geometry and develop the sectorial scan plan and coverage.

    02

    Calibration

Configure focal laws and verify sensitivity, resolution and encoder accuracy.

    03

    Encoded Scan

Acquire complete encoded data with coverage and coupling controls.

    04

    Interpretation

Size and classify indications and issue auditable scan records.
